1. NetSuite Service Status Page

The NetSuite Service Status Page is the best place to check if NetSuite is up and running as expected. It's a tool that NetSuite built so its users could stay informed about:

  • Service interruptions
  • Degraded performance
  • Unplanned outages

There are three ways you can check NetSuite status through the platform.

A) You can check your NetSuite status through your user interface.

B) However, if part of the outage is that the NetSuite User Interface is down, then

you can also review the status at:

C) If you're already logged in to SuiteAnswer, you can also get this information by clicking the NetSuite Status button in the title bar.

What information does the NetSuite status page contain?

You will be greeted with a lot of information when you open the NetSuite status page.

AVG UPTIME: The average uptime is a rolling 12-month average that is updated every month. It shows how much of the time NetSuite services are running without being stopped.

Application requests: The total number of application requests made over the last 12 months.

"Subscribe to Updates" button: A blue button that lets you subscribe via SMS or email to receive any updates regarding NetSuite status changes. This feature is excellent for management or people in administrative roles.

Below these entries, you will find the Current Status section. This area is where you can get a granular NetSuite status update.

Additionally, you can subscribe to incidents to get SMS or email updates.

The Incident History section provides a list of all incidents over the past 30 days.

NetSuite Services

In certain situations, some parts of the NetSuite services will be affected by downtime or disruptions. NetSuite allows you to find out what is happening with

  • Application UI: NetSuite user interface
  • SuiteCommerce - Websites: web stores running on NetSuite
  • SuiteCommerce - Checkout: web store checkout processing

Again, you can tab through data servers and regions to see where particular service outages are occurring. These are notified by Service Icons, of which there are four:

A green checkmark: Indicates there are no issues

A yellow square with a minus: Indicates degraded performance, but no downtime

Orange triangle: Indicates a partial outage that is affecting some NetSuite customers

Red circle: A full-system outage affecting all NetSuite users

  • Online games and services via mobile networks
  • Financial providers

Downdetectors has some valuable features for anyone who is interested in NetSuite status. It allows users to:

  • Report issues with NetSuite
  • Rate NetSuite’s performance over the last few months
  • Access a chart with NetSuite outages over the last 24hrs
  • Access a map that shows the location of live outages
  • Leave and read comments related to NetSuite status issues
  • Read customer comments on social media about NetSuite service issues or disruptions
  • Displays Tweets from NetSuite’s official account

While Downdetector isn’t an official page, it comes packed with helpful information and features that make it worth bookmarking.

3. Check the NetSuite website with

Is It Down Right Now? is another general website for checking the status of various websites and platforms. While it’s not as reliable as the NetSuite status page, nor has it the features of Downdetector, it still has some very useful information.

Some of the reasons to bookmark are:

  • It lists current website page response times
  • It details when the website was last down
  • It displays website downtime history and historical ping times
  • It lists some possible troubleshooting instructions

4. Check with Statusgator

Unlike the other entries on our list, Statusgator is a paid-for platform. However, it has a free plan that allows the following:

  • One user
  • One dashboard
  • Monitoring of three cloud-based platforms
  • Ten notifications per month

While that might seem limited, it’s perfectly fine if you only need it to monitor NetSuite.

It has some helpful features, too, like links to NetSuite’s:

  • Status page
  • Website
  • Twitter page

Additionally, users can report problems.

Most useful is the historical data of issues and outages, which include NetSuite’s comments about what happened and where the problems occurred. It even reports on individual NetSuite components. Overall, it’s a useful tool.
